HELP! - I am loosing it here.

Can't get my calender to sync with Vista, Outlook 2007. I have been all over the forums, blackberry site, telus site.........ETC.

One thing I notice on my BB is the "calender properties - wireless synchronization" is set to off. I cant turn it on.........Anybody know how to turn it on?

Is this going to fix my problem?

Or is it something else?

When I sync it I comes up with an error code after it detects that there is 13 new calender updates and it asks if you want to sync them and you say yes to all.

The wireless synchronization is for if you are using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, so it sounds as though it doesn't apply to you. What version of Desktop Manager are you using?

OK, good. Now what is the error you are receiving while trying to sync?

Everthing else syncs great.........

Kills things like this - it should be jujst plug and play, but NO they have to make it a huge chalange to get ERERYTHING working at once........

One thing about it thought make you leatn your product inside and out.

Hmmmm...I have never seen Desktop Manager give that error message before...

Hey, have you read this FAQ on sync errors?
Has this BB ever synced to your Outlook, and now won't?

Likely you have a calendar entry in Outlook that is failing it, like one with an attachement or something.

Cause
One or more contacts in the Address Book is missing information in the First, Last or Company Name fields.


Resolution

Complete the following resolution steps in the required order. When the issue has been resolved, do not perform any subsequent resolution steps.

1. Locate the Address Book contacts that are missing information and fill in the information or remove the contact.
2. If you cannot locate the contact that is missing information, enable advanced synchronization logging. For more information on enabling advanced synchronization logging, see KB01451.

One of these states:

Locate the Intellisync folder on your computer. This folder can be found at C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\.

Well this doesnt work for VISTA

Figured it out.

there was someappointments book in a couple of wees time that were conflicting with the BB. I removed all appointments and started from scratch - all wrks well.

I cannot get my Outlook 2003 calendar to sync with my Blackberry Bold. I am on Windows XP Home and my Blackberry is a Bold with Desktop manager 4.6.0.13. AT&T/Cingular is my carrier. They and their support have been no help.

The calendar sync nearly completes or appears to nearly be finished and as it is completing somewhere around "record 12 of 286), it fails with a message that says something like "the operation stopped unexpectedly" and other times it says "Error Encountered 0x80040FB3"

BTW, I am able to sync my contacts. It is my calendar that I have a problem with.

Any help appreciated.

Just got the new STORM on Friday for my wife and I - we love them. This is her first blackberry, and she uses VISTA. I have never had issues with my Curve and prior Pearl on Outlook in Windows XP or 2003. I now use Windows XP and Office 2007, and it works fine. When we tried to sync her Storm, there were issues in the calendar. The same "Error Encountered 0x80040fb3" I found that it really doesn't like REOCCURRING calendar events from Vista.
1) Make sure you don't have any reoccuring events on the 29th, 30th, or 31st of the month
2) Make sure you don't have any $$ or too many / \ - etc. in the subject - move them to the notes section
3) make DM sync only the calendar and continue to work through your calendar events in the list view.
4) continue to expand sync range (i.e. start with 10 days prior and 20 days in future) and see what errors occur
a) it seems to take annual re-occuring events first, then goes from there
5) I eventually got to 90 days prior and 180 days in future

I believe I am getting around this problem by looking at the synchronization log. Near the bottom, I see "IGNORE..." followed by the calendar entry causing the problem. When I delete the item being "ignored", sync seems to go a little further. Really surprising that RIM hasn't addressed this issue. I have been running in to it for several years now. Maybe instead, I should consider using something other than Outlook 2003, since it keeps corrupting its PST file. Too bad Thunderbird doesn't come with a really nice calendar!

As stupid as this might sound, i solved this error message by
1.- exporting all of my outlook contacts to a file,
2.- sync with my BB (sync an empty address book)
3.- imported the contacts again to outlook from the file i created in step 1
4.- sync

this solved my problem
