Do you have your "options>advanced>TCP>APN: wap.voicestream.com" set up?

Yes, I understand why you want it. To get it you will need some sort of data plan, not BB Data Plan. You will need to get Opera Mini because BB Browser will not work. Once you get Opera Mini you can download OZ Messenger.
Once you have Opera Mini, APN Settings below:

Or you can shortcut it by using someones SIM card that does have a data plan, just download OZ.

Good luck!

You would need the BB data plan if you want to use aim/msn/yahoo/googletalk with your blackberry curve. I already called into customer service to verify that the bb curve and 8820 requires a BB Data plan of 19.99 in order for you to use these services. There is simply no way around it even if you download the service books and try to log on with wi-fi connection.

The 14.95/19.95 unlimited text, IM, and pictures package will no longer work with these services.

Btw, if you want to reinstall the program you could always download the 4.2 OS from T-mobile and check the programs you want to install. But it'll still do you no good if you don't have the BB Data plan because you won't be able to log in.
