Default Migrate from 8707v to curve 8310, no Send option?

Please Login to Remove!

hi all,

im in a process of migrating from existing 8707v to Curve 8310. what i did was, using 4.2 BDM, did a full backup of 8707v, at the same time, reactivate the user with the new 8310. once done with the activation, i restore the full backup of 8707v to 8310.

the problem was, when the user try to reply any mail, there was no Send option. by clicking the trackball, there was only 2 option which is Save Draft and Full Menu.

the rest works fine except this missing Send option.

my telco suggested to delete all service in the blackberry's Service Book and resend it back from the server. but it doesnt solve the problem. im open to any suggestion. thanks a million.

I know this sounds way too simple, but has the user pulled the battery on the BB (while powered on), hold for 30 seconds, replace and reboot? That action often "installs" the service books needed.

Wirelessly posted (mindlessly posted)

I have seen this with a few BIS users. Generally the feature has to be removed from the service then re-added. It didn't provision properly
When it switched devices.
