Red face Installing 3rd party apps

Please Login to Remove!

This is probably a dumb question, but how do I install JAR or JAD files on my new 8310? Desktop manager only searches for ALI and ALX files. The sites where I'm D/L the JAR's claim that these particular apps should work with the Curve.

What am I missing? FYI, it's the Zelda re-make I want. Need something to waste more time!

I since Googled a different solution. Use the DM Media Manager to create a folder (I names mine AppLoaders). Transfer the jar files into that folder. Then on the BB, go to the Media icon & select Explore. Browse to the jar file & click download. Install then worked perfectly.

Now a followup question. In doing some more reading, I kept seeing something called "Mass Media Storage" or something like that. It sounded like that would allow you to drag&drop to the BB straight from Windows Explorer. Anyone know how to make that work, or am I misunderstanding what it is?

Move the .jar file to the memory card and install from there

unlike S60 Phones, all apps installed on a BB are installed to the device
