So for the last week or so, I've been running the 'OS that shall not be named' and everything was good. Loved the font...some hiccups but I was dealing with it.

Yesterday, I noticed that only my calendar and email were doing a wireless sync. I have no idea if that OS caused this or not but I could not get it back.

Today I decided to just downgrade and used JL_Cmdr to wipe my device. I got to a point where I was re-loading the software but now my whole PC freezes when it gets to "waiting for device initialization". The BB reboots and comes back with the dreaded 507 error. Then the PC freezes.

Has anyone recovered from something like this? I've tried like 5 times to load the OS and it just ain't happening. I'm off to at&t to contribute to the dummy fund unless I can figure out a way to get my precious BB back. Thanks!

507 = no operating system. Haven't yet been there myself, but I suspect you follow the instructions in the faq on wipe and reinstall OS and pick up where you left off.

Ah JSanders, it sounds so simple on the FAQ. I've read it over and over...ha ha

It looks like it's going to load the OS just fine and starts doing it...it's that first reboot. The device comes back with 507 and DM just freezes up.

It goes through erasing applications and then loading new files (which seems to go rather quick).

Should I try another JL_Cmdr wipe?

Well, I figured out that it kept freezing and going to 507 on the screen cause I had the battery in. Oops!

I left the battery out and tried again. Now it reboots, doesn't freeze my PC, but hangs on 'Reconnecting to JVM'.

Should I put the battery back in at this point do you think?
