Default Music over bluetooth?

Can you connect the curve to a stereo that supports bluetooth and play music wirelessly?

yes you can. the 83xx, and 8820 and newer support stereo bluetooth

I think it has to be a BT headphone and not simply a BT headset. Cause I tried to get music to play over my BT headset and that didn't work.

(I have the 8320 with OS.180)

the bluetooth device has to be compatible with (A2DP) and device software has to be 4.2.2 or above to have A2DP enabled.
