Hey guys I got my Curve in the mail today and I have a question. Is there a way to find the total message count sent and received today? Thanks in advance,

I do not believe so. I have never seen that count meter anywhere.

I think you need to check your shift key.

I have a question that may or may not be a solution does anyone know what the number represents (meaning used out of allocated) of if in the case of messages and SMS if it's a count? Menu>Options>Status>menu>Database Sizes (if you look for Messages + SMS entry to the left of the / and add them together would you have a count?)

E-, you are a smart man. I do believe it would give you a total used. For a daily count, nada.

May I please frame this and hang it on the wall in the moderator breakroom? :) Thanks JS! The OP stated they had only had the device one day... if they want to OCD they could right the number down and increment it each day before cleaning up! :P

I found a better way. Use search and check Messages, then put "a" without quotes in for text and it shows all messages. I erase my messages every day, so it's a good solution for me.

But how does that give you a count? If you are looking to mass delete just position cursor on today's date and hit Menu>Delete Prior.

It gives you a count of the number of messages.

Interesting. My 83xx series specific. My 8100 does not produce a count for search result items.

Interesting, when I delete my messages at the end of the day the database count for SMS goes back to 0. :?
