Default Updating OS and how to recieve picture messages?

Ok So I just got my 8320 from Tmobile...should I update my OS through their website or on this website?

Also my friend from sprint sent me a picture message and it said it could not retrieve message? So I forced it to retrieve and the bb was loading for like a minute and then nothing popped up??? I have unlimited messaging....

Your friend probably sent you a MMS message. Do you have BB Data Plan from TMo?

If you must upgrade (and it is purely a personal decision, if the BB is operating well, no issues, leave it be for now, enjoy it): http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...e-telecom.html

no I dont have the data plan...but you shouldnt need it to get picture messages correct?

My experience with a BlackBerry is that you do.

Another user and carrier may not. You will certainly need some kind of data with TMo to get a picture file, yes.

Then you should be set to go! Call TMo and make sure that is definately on your account, 'cause it apparently ain't working.

ok so I called tmobile and apparently you have to enable "blackberry photo messaging" for free. so I did
