Best advice I can give is go to a store and see for yourself. You are really the only one who can make that determination.

I got one yesterday. It is about a 1/2" shorter and maybe and 1/8" narrower.

I have fat thumbs with the coordination of a plowhorse for comparison.

I can type much better on the curve. The screen is the same size, and the amount of extra memory is a huge bonus, now I don't have to constantly delete old messages for fear of running out of memory. There is an extra convienence key on the right side, which I like. I hated when I had to use the trackball with grease or dirt on my hands.

With Alltel, you can buy it and return it within 15 days if you don't like it, but I don't see that happening with me, unless the 9000 series came out for Alltel within 15 days. LOL.....more like 2 years
