Hello all

I have a Blackberry 8310 and am using an Israeli provider, Orange for calls.

I have OS 4.2x and after changing the apm to "Internet" i can indeed access www. I cannot see the BBbrowser, but use the Google maps app to verify web access.

Now, on attempting to install the Opera 4 browser from my PC, i get the "no applications for your device" error message. This is bizarre as other folks on th forum have indeed managed to install.

On the Opera site, i do not see a "high memory" version mentioned here.

Welcome... You need to have the O.S. installed on your computer to use most version of the DM.

I have the BB desktop software etc. installed. It's when selecting the install file via the application loader i get the error.

You need the BB Operating Software, that is the software install on your BB itself. You need it installed on your PC.

Thanks again. My device has the BB software installed on the device and desktop manager on the PC.

The error i was receiving was "no additional applications found for your device" when browsing my PC using the application loader.

I found the fix, simply upgrading the version of DM to 4.3 from 4.2.1 solved the issue.

I now have a BB with NO dataplan and www access via OperaMini4.

Very happy.
