Default Luv the 8320! Is there anything better or worth buying?

Please Login to Remove!

I've waited years and couldn't justify carrying around a BB, on account I'm at a computer most of the day. The odd thing is, I'm in love with this handheld and can't imagine not using one.

If you were to buy another handheld what would it be?

Is there anything better on the market (BB) or offers features currently not available on the curve?

I'm considering giving this unit to my other half and buying another one!

Thanks.

I have a Pearl, but I really am impressed with the 83xx models. You have a very good device there buddy. Don't give it up unless you're getting the new one for yourself...then give the used one to the little lady.

There's not another device I'd rather have than the 8320. Even when the newer ones come out, I'll still be hesitant to break away from what I have.

I started my plan w/a Pearl. Very elegant and user-friendly design, if you ask me.

I did not want to carry a Pocket PC + BB, so I traded my Pearl for a Curve 8320. My use is mostly PDA 1st, then phone. That being said, no regrets. And, wow...

Put media, camera, and voice dialing on the 8700g and you have my perfect smartphone.

Best phone to date. The Pearl comes in at second. If I were to get a new phone, it would be the 9000 series BB. iPhone, Sidekick, Wing, Treo, or whatever cannot touch what the BB is capable of.

"Better" really depends on your wants/needs. You'll have to clarify.

For me, a viable alternative would have to start by offering the same reliability and that's the big reason that I haven't switched over the years.

I love my curve, but I honestly would love for it to have the same radio as the 8800/8820 as I always had better signal strength on it. But the 8800/8820 is too big and the keyboard IMO is horrible.

Over the years I have owned many handheld devices and phones. I even owned one of the first Blackberry 2-way Pagers!

The closest anything has come to being this impressive was a SonyEricksson phone for the call list management and callerid/bluetooth capabilities.

The weakness of the bluetooth signal causes me to carry the phone in my hand at times to lessen the static, and the radio signal and dropped calls(UMA to EDGE) is annoying.

Overall, I sleep with it, and only remove the bluetooth headset to sleep. The battery life and unlimited capabilities makes it the best I have ever owned(as well as the most expensive)

The only thing that I see the blackberry lacking in would be the PIM features like on the palms. If we could have that gui, that would be the icing on the cake.
