Very interesting indeed. I suppose this means that we can move this from the "rumors forum" now.

they pulled it. now it says it's unavailable. I hope they remember that I already paid them for mine and it's supposed to be here Tuesday. Also, the price difference from online discount oughta get me the phone for $19.99....I paid $100 more than that. we'll see.

Its gone now from the Blackberry phone listing. You can click sith's link and it does show up but even the picture of it is deleted and only has a red x.

I just checked, and I couldn't find it on the site anywhere. I think we have to wait for next Monday.

You do for the keyboard alone.

Besides the camera is there really any difference between this and the 8830?

The keyboard.

Hold and type on the device. Its vastly superior to the 8830.

I used to own the 8830 and switched to 8310(and ATT), and now the 8830 feels huge in my hands. Cant believe i ever used it.(83xx is really that much superior in terms of form factor).

And the 8330 will not be an international device, from what I've read.

its smaller and the keyboard is different. The keys are closer together on the 8830.

So besides the camera the main difference is the form of the device right...

Thanks for the feedback.

From what I understand, it also has more internal memory and can support up to an 8gb memory card.

I've had mine since the end of last week... (via the sales demo program) Some people in Howardforums were able to order from Verizon's CS, but its not officially supposed to go on sale until this friday (may 9) for B2B, and Monday (may 12) for B2C.

Think of the VZW 8330 as this... The Pearl/8130 with.. Higher capacity battery (same as used by the GSM Curves), more memory (fresh out of box before removing anything... under Options -> status... File Free: 44202602... File Total: 83623936), full qwerty keyboard, different size/shape screen (due to qwerty rather than suretype). Like the pearl, the curve supports 8gig MicroSD, but unlike the pearl (with microSD slot on the outside), the MicroSD slot is under the battery on the Curve.

The Curve has 2.0MP camera, 3.5mm headset jack, v4.3 OS and its features/additions (like voice notes recorder, video camera, spell check, multi color calendar entries per each email address you have setup, etc).

No, its not world edition. No GSM capabilities in this unit. GPS is just as locked down as the 8830 and 8130. Its not REV A, nor is it upgradeable.

Very nice writeup.. I am still so torn. Maybe if I sell my 8830 on craigslist or something then I won't feel so bad dropping a couple hundred on another phone.
