It's all a matter of preference really. Both browsers have their high and low points. I mostly prefer Opera Mini, but there are times I need to use the BB browser, like for mobile banking and such.

"Best" is quite a subjective term.
I prefer the BB browser, along with many other users.
Others prefer Opera Mini.
Use both and decide which you prefer.

Ditto here, I finally quit loading on my devices, too much space for too little benefit.

I prefer Opera 4 on my Curve. On my Pearl, OM4 would crash about half of the time when I went to click on a link. Very annoying. I have yet to have that problem on my Curve.

I tried Opera Mini... thought the interface was nice, but it can't be set as the default browser. So, you have to keep the default BB browser and use it on occasion. Not really a matter of choice given RIM's restricton (on changing the default browser to Opera Mini).

I trust what the moderators say they're using, so I will stay with BB browser.
Opera sounds nice, but it looks like it's better to stay with BB.
Thanks for everybody's input.

i prefer the bb browser for most things, but some pages are easier to navigate (esp forums and ebay) on opera. After using both for a while i've found i can tell which browser will work better for any given situation.
I think you kinda need both as some pages won't load right into the bb browser.
plus its real easy to install and delete it if you don't like it.. takes all of 5 mins.

Try them both out and see. As others have said, best is subjective no matter what you're talking about.
I don't really see the point on Opera Mini as it can't be set as the default, you can't download with it, you have to go to a separate screen to enter text into a text field, etc etc.
Still, I'd say give it a try for yourself and see. Nothing beats first hand experience.

No, not GODS, but they do have ton's of experience... "been there and done that" "Seen it all" type of thing.
However, I did decide to try it and couldn't get it to load.
I downloaded the PC loading version, then loaded it using the BB desktop application and when I tried to use Opera, I got this message:
"Failed to connect to the Internet"
Go to http://operamini.com/help?version=40
with your desktop browser or contact your service provider for internet settings.
My main BB internet connection is working fine. I didn't find any answers on their website on my problem either.

Well can anyone list some advantages opera mini would have over the bb browser? I would like to try it but what's the point? Why would anyone want to use it over the bb browser?
And about mobile banking.. Which browser is better? I bank with a local credit union called Chartway and I cannot access my account page through the bb browser. I don't exactly know why but I'm thinking it might have something to do with the extra security features of my credit unions page? Like it loads a custom security avatar that I have to identify and confirm as well as my acct number and pin. Well it loads these on the pc but when I go to the page on my bb browser, neither the pic or the blanks load for me to enter my login info. Would I maybe be able to do this with the opera mini browser?

From what I've read, you can't do banking and such with Opera?

They have a big article in May's LAPTOP magazine on:
7 service Providers tested
Best & Worst Mobile Browsers
Other Cell phone articles.
The Opera Mini was rated well here.

Opera Mini is better for some things, BB is better for others. The best of all worlds is to have and use them both.

I have them both and visit sites that really receive more code support from Opera with it, BB browser for mostly everything else.
Sites that look like crap on BB will look normal on Opera. I keep them both.

You will find in life that there are plenty of people with "ton's of experience....'been there and done that' 'Seen it all' type of thing" on both sides of the fence. The best way to see what suits you is to try it out for yourself.
