What's the difference? I see none. The loud profile doesn't ring or notify any louder than when using the normal profile.

Look and edit the volume settings settings for the loud profile, to your liking.

I can do the same in the normal profile too, so what's the difference? Setting it to loud is loud no matter which profile, right?

It should be, just edit the settings and make it so.

I did thanks, it still just doesn't seem no where near as loud as my Razr was. My Razr used to wake me up when I got a tesxt, not so with this one.

It depends on how you have them configured. The names as delivered are really just suggestions and you can modify them. I mean, you could make Loud silent if you wanted to, for some reason.

The alert you've chosen may be limited as well. Some alerts are louder than others. Try editing the alert in a sound editing program, increasing the volume and copying the alert back to the BB.
