Wink Garmin Navigator for Blackberry 8310

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all...

My new 8310 has arrived this morning. I was wondering about the Garmin navigation software (the one is given with the TIM ITALY version TIM). On Garmin's website i'm not able to find detailed infos about. Anyone who used this software can give some infos?

And more...switching from mi pearl to the 8310 is easy as changing data over BIS service but does anyone have any suggestions/advice for this device?

Thanks!
Ciao,
Alex

Tips for the 83xx... check out Stinsonddogs tips in my signature below.

What info do you need on the Garmin app? If it is pushed there by TIM, you might just use the trial and see how it goes.

Thanks all guys!

I got a brand new curve 8310 from ebay and is not TIM brand...is one from vodafone germany (not sim locked).

I have downloaded TIM firmware ad i will install it this evening when I'm back from the office...just wondering if i will find the application in the TIM firmware (are this kind of apps bundled in the firmware?) or i will need to buy the app directly from tim/garmin.

Also i had the curiosity to know if someone has previously used this software to have some "on the road" impressions before spending money.

Switching the BIS service to the new device was so easy...no matter...

Thanks again!

Alex

eBay sellers do not sell brand new 8310s.

I have never seen that app loaded in the TIM software before, could be a new thing, or it could be something the branded carrier put on the device.

It's a vodafone brand new..sealed package. BTW...loaded TIM latest firmware and no garmin. The app must be installed.

All works fine and, just to try, i installed also - like on my pearl - 4.5.0.18 OS. We will see how many bugs

Ciao,
Alex

With the GPS-equipped BB's I've seen you need to download whatever GPS app you intend to use. Some come with BB Maps but it's not even worth using IMO.
