AT&T 8310 Restarts 10x in one hour...
I just got a new 8310 and I have no idea why but it keeps restarting. The only aftermarket software I have on it is Jivetalk and Facebook. My software version is 18.104.22.168. Has anyone been experiencing this with their 8310?
Also, I don't know if my phone shipped with the right battery. I think my last 8310 came with a battery with rounded edges. This one came with one with sharp edges. The battery says C-S2 on it.

If you got the phone new it shipped with the correct battery. so obviously the device worked fine when you first got it, then you loaded the apps on. first rule is to remove the apps from it and see if that helps. what else did you do to the phone when you got it?

AND, where was it actually purchased as "new" from? What carrier, an AT&T retail store?

This phone was bought brand new at a AT&T retail store. No, I haven't tested it with another battery because I don't have a spare.

Do you use a media card? I had a corrupt media card and it made it restart constantly as it was building the song list from the media card. Search this forum for the solution (if you do use a media card)

They must use different vendors for the batteries. I got 2 different batteries (rounded vs. sharp edged) in two different 8310's as well.

Remove one of the applications and see what happens. If it doesn't help remove the other one. I dont think your issue is battery related.
