Default Blackberry Curve international dialing issue

Please Login to Remove!

Hello eevrybody,

I just recently started to use Blackberry curve and I need help figuring one thing out. I call Italy from my Curve. Country code and city code for Italy is 3901. So I store number in my phone book but if i try to dial from the phone book 0 is automaticly taking out of the number and call fails. I tried to change settings and still nothing happends. I really dont know what else to do. It seams crazy because phone is not suppouse to edit number in the phone book on its own however it seams like it is happening. I just wanted to see if anybody else has the same isse and how thay solve it.

Thank you very much for your reply. At this point any help will be apretiated.

Anna

make sure you have phone app > options > smart dialing set for your current country

I'm having precisely the same problem as the original poster -- trying to call Italy from a T-MO Curve in the US -- and I don't think this fixes it. All this does is tell it how to dial US #s. There is workaround -- I go into my contact book and copy the entire #, including the 0, and then paste it into the dial screen -- but it would be great if there were a better fix. (I presume this problem arises because if one is *in* Italy, one doesn't dial the 0, but one must from abroad. But that doesn't explain how to solve the issue...)

Any further advice appreciated!
