Hi people, I'm getting problems when using programs which connect to the net via gprs such as mini opera and several map programs (mgmaps, bbmaps). For example if I load opera I get a message saying 'attempting to reach a low level network' and then I get a couldn't connect to page. All the map progs simply don't load any maps. The bb explorer works fine when I go through the orange world page. Anyone come accross this problem?

Did you enter the APN in TCP settings in options?

I gather from other members on the forum that some carriers bill different amonts for different data -- i.e. blackberry data at one rate, wap at another -- so I could see some people not using the apn because of the expense.

That is true. I am on o2 and do not use Opera because it requires the o2 mobileweb APN settings for which they charge extra.

I am happy enough with the BB Browser.
