Default Am I looking in the right space to see how much free memory I have left (8320) ??

Please Login to Remove!

I'm going to Options, Status and File Free. Is that right? If so, then how come the value for File Free keeps changing when I haven't installed anything on the BB yet?

That is the correct place.

The file free value will change from browser use, email/SMS messages receipit, etc.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

You are looking correct. The memory fluctuates as you run Apps. It is not fixed.
