Hi, I just picked up the curve yesterday and had a quick question. The "R" button seems to not work all the time. If I press it, I hear it click, but the click doesn't always seem to register. It will always work with some special attention to press it straight down, but when I hit the key at a bit of angle, the problem seems to occur.

So my question is whether this is something that will improve after a bit of a break in period or whether it's a defect in the unit. Thanks so much in advance, cheers.

Reset the device and see if that will fix it. Because the button is near the top, it makes me think it could be a moisture issue.
If you have insurance, I may consider replace it.

I would return the device and let them know what is happening. I don't believe it should be like that. The other keys don't do that, so this one shouldn't either.

I would definitely take it back.

I have that problem with the E key sometimes. kind of annoying but it only happens if I don't press hard enough on the key.

Thanks so much for all the replies folks, I appreciate it. I think I just needed a second opinion to get me off my lazy bum, swap it out, and reinstall all the software I had put on.

On a side note, I encountered my first terrible experience with T-mobile customer service. The woman working there tried to convince me that there was nothing wrong with it (since she was able to make it work due to having extremely long nails) and was extremely rude when I wanted to wipe my data before handing in my old device.

I picked up the new one and the "R" key works just as it should. Thanks again folks, cheers.
