Default No success with Google Maps

Up to this point I have still not been able to experience any type of navigation features with my Curve 8310. I have tried to install Google maps on a few different occasions, but with no luck, must be doing something wrong. Can anyone give me some type of walk through on installing google maps or any other recommended software that is free. Thanks.

Did you try BBMaps?

Might also look in the GPS section

The latest version of google maps is a little hit and miss for people with the GPS functionality. BB Maps is something good to try. I also, hate to say it, downloaded Microsoft Live Search (Untitled Page) onto my curve. It works perfectly. There is a menu item for configuring your GPS to work with it and then searching and maps use it. Pretty slick! Give that a try.

What exactly happens? It's a bit difficult to provide any useful advice without the details. Are you downloading OTA from www . google . com / gmm (without the spaces)? Does it download? Where are you having problems?

I haven't found a free one that I'd recommend for in-car navigation. Google Maps is handy but not suited for navigation while driving which is really what I personally need.
