| Sprint 8330 and Yahoo Messenger Please Login to Remove! i just bought the 8330 with sprint Last night and i am getting " Service not enabled for this handheld" when i try to use BB Messenger... does anyone know why this is happening?
EDIT: it is version 2.0.46

Did you simply install the Yahoo Messenger from the backup? Perhaps you need to delete the application and load it fresh, new. | | Offline

| well it came with an icon from sprint... and then when i clicked it, it too me to a site to install yahoo.. then when done (and restart) then when i try to sign in thats when i get that error.
i also tried to install it from the www.blackberry.com/yahoodownload site. same thing..

| call tech support *2 they will get it working for you. i havnt tried my messengers yet. but you need to have the phone provisioned before all online apps will work. tech support will tell you what needs to be done. when its provisioned it will add the browser and the navigation icons. | | Offline

| I guess that is why I asked the question... "Do you have email and browser working ok?".
If you do, you have a Data Plan provisioned. If you don't, you need one. I thought Sprint required it, but it could take a while to provision on the account, although normally only a couple hours. | | Offline

| well everything works... web, mail, aim, google talk, blackberry messenger, facebook, sprint tv, all that.
EDIT: has any of your guys tried the Yahoo Messenger on your phones? if it works,what did you guys do or where did you get your messenger from?

| just updating everyone.. been on the phone with sprint and they said it is a known issue for some handsets... everyone who is having problems with yahoo ANY yahoo services need to call in and have them put in a ticket. they will give back to you in 48 hours...
(im thinking the correct service book isnt downloading to the phone)

Or is it darker than it shows on the sprint site?
