Hi all -

I am on TMO with an 8320 and they sent me the unlock code and procedure which I followed and it seemed to complete ok, but have some q's....

-Am I right in assuming that I can now buy a prepaid SIM in Italy next month when I'm there and it will work as an Italian phone?

-What happens to WiFi/UMA (assuming I can get a connection somewhere) with that SIM installed?

-Given the last question, am I better off sticking with my own T-Mobile SIM and using it on UMA to avoid some of the Roaming charges?

-Any other tips? I'm an newbie when it comes to international travel and SIM based phones.

1. You can get on a wifi connection for the wifi browser only but you can't get UMA without a TMobile sim card.

2. Yes, you'd be better off trying to use UMA. However, then you would be limited to wifi hotspots. All else would cost you for international roaming.
