Verizon Curve 8330 memory card
I want to add the 8GB card. I think this version of the Curve supports 8GB.
Is there a difference in function between an 8GB micro SDHC and 8GB micro SD card. Will both work with the Verizon Curve?
Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Pearl 8100)
I am not sure if there is a difference in the function. I believe the SDHC cards allow for higher storage capacities. I do believe the 8330 devices will support that card size.
I just put a microsdhc in my new curve and it works fine. I wasn't sure and did not find the info so I tried it. the 4gb works fine. I would think the 8 should too.
Anything over 2gb is SDHC. If you're seeing cards that are 4gb that don't say SDHC they're typos. SDHC is a new technology that is actually not compatible with any device older than 2007.
It stands for secure digital high capacity. It's not just a bigger card, it's read different. So again, anything over 2gb is SDHC no matter what the packaging says.
