Question missing BB password

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I have a BIG problem with my BB 8320

I decided to set the pasword: nonos to my BB, and I had no problem doing so. But when the BB blocked itself after minutes and I tried to put the password, it said "password incorrect", I tried 8 times, I only have 2 more chances before it blocks for good.!!... I think that when I tried to write "nonos" setting the pasword, something was pressed, the NUM lock, or the CAP lock, etc. What can I do to unlock my BB? :( I havent used the 2 chances I have left... Is there a chance I didn't set the password, is there a default password set by BB?

Thanks!!

Welcome to the BBForums.

There is no default password. On the 10th wrong attempt you wipe the BB of all personal data and settings. If you are on a BES, it can all be pushed back, if not, you are without. Hopefully you have a good recent backup waiting in the wings to reload. It won't block anything for good, it will just delete as mentioned above.

You would see the NUM or CAP symbol in the top right of the screen were it locked to such.

Thanks for your answer.... but Im still worried, I bought the unlocked BB in the US and now Im in Venezuela... I haven't been able to register the BB or anything, I started using it 2 hours ago, there is no information on the phone, no data, anything. I only had chance to set some options using the wizzard.

When I tried to register with the local telephone company I couldnt, I had a screen where is says: "este BB está registrado con un proveedor de servicio distinto. vuelva a registrarlo y compruebe que la URL coincide con la proporcionada con l proveedor de servicio". That means "this BB is registered with a different service provider. Try to register it again and verify that the URL matches the one given by the service provider"... Where should I register the BB then?...

Im so frustrated, I have a brand new BB; almost blocked, without data and I cant register it in Movistar (local phone company)

It is not brand new. It is used or remanufactured. Where in the US did you buy it?

You must call the old carrier (likely the only to which it is branded) and ask them politely to remove the PIN from the old account to which it is registered. Whoever sold you the BB did not do so. The old carrier does not have to do this, so be kind and polite... OR, ask the old seller to do so. If they won't, you could simply get your money back. I would.

The next issue you face is getting the device unlocked for use on a network other than for which it is branded...

Will not be blocked, just go ahead and enter the 10th try, let it reset itself and start over.
