Default Anyone knows how to do Tmobile MMS settings for 8300 curve? - 05-15-2008, 09:14 AM

Hi, I just bought an AT&T curve 8300 from ebay, I unlocked the phone and slipped in the SIM card and worked awesome until I tried picture messaging and didnt work(cant locate WAP account or something like that), I tried receiving picture messages and didnt work either. I called Tmobile and they said that they dont know the settings to make it work because they dont support the 8300, they support the 8320. Anyone knows how to setup the settings so I can recieve and send picture messages on my 8300 curve? I use to have a sidekick 3 and hated it because it did support the pic messaging know its happening again. Please help.

I know with my pearl I had to resend Service Books! Have you tried to resend? Should be MMS config in options/advanced options/service books.

One of the things that worked with T-Mobile is sending MMS to your self ... But do send your self service books as well.

You don't enter the settings -- the service books handle that for you. You need to log into your carrier's BIS site. For TMO, IIRC, it's integrated into tmobile.com.

Do you have a BB data plan or the BB feature enabler?

As takeshi says, you need to have a BB dataplan for MMS to work.

I dont have the email but I have MMS and SMS, and I only want to be able to send and recieve the picture msgs instead of getting the text msg to download a pic from the website.

You *must* have a BlackBerry Data Plan in order to get MMS working.
You can't download service books.

if you don't want to pay for data plan then ask the rep to give you Blackberry Enabler Feature which is free and gives you MMS
