Default Not all email getting pushed to the BB - 05-15-2008, 02:57 PM

8320 tmobile; some email gets pushed to the bb, but not all. I have upgraded the os to 4.2.2.180, wiped it, resent the service books, but still there are things that aren't coming through. It doesn't seem to matter whether corporate or personal addresses.

Thoughts on other things I could try? Thanks.

Do you also use Outlook on your PC to get email?

In Outlook > Tools > Email accounts > View or Change existing > next.

Highlight the email account > Change > More Settings.

Advanced Tab > Leave a Copy Messages on Server

Shoot, I knew there was something like that, but I couldn't remember what it was! Well, I've configured the accounts now we'll see if it works. Why would some of the emails get through and not the others?

Thanks.

Because your Outlook downloads the email and deletes if off the mail server UNLESS you tell it to do otherwise. Therefore RIM never has a chance to grab the mail and push it to your BB.

This would only apply for POP3 and not for IMAP4, correct?
