I would suggest that mine is very solid.

I just got mine a few hours ago off a new shipment and it seems quite solid.

Have had mine a few days. I feel the keyboard is a *little* loose in my opinion. Same with the track ball. The buttons sound *clicky* so to speak. Best I can explain it right now

Mine are slightly loose, but not too bad. I do have a squeak on the right side already, though.

the keys move A LOT less than the 8700 keys, however, there is a "clicky" sound everytime you type. i did not have that on the 8700. i guess it's a game of give and take...i guess it will prevent me from typing during a movie which is probably a good thing and something i have been yelled at about before

I was just playing around with my co-worker's, and her buttons are totally solid after having it for four days. Mine are noticably much looser after only about two weeks, and I have a creak on the right side under the convenience key. To those that have had Curves on other carriers, is this something that is normal? I'm coming from an 8700 that was built like a rock.

So I took my phone into another Verizon store yesterday after work. I had them check out the keyboard and also had them check the ones they had in stock, well, it turns out the others were solid. They swapped it out for me. The store I went too downtown by my work said nothing was wrong... what an idiot.

Hmm, now I'm wondering if I should do the same. Did you get yours in the store or online? If I ordered it online will they still exchange in the store? So annoying...I would need to download all the apps I had again.

Default key board moves very little

Mine moves maybe 1/16", but had you not have asked I would not have noticed at all.

I bought it through TeleSales, but had it swapped out a couple days later. The 2nd phone was the one with the bum keyboard, which I got at the store. Yes, the store will swap it out even if you bought it online.

I got my 8300 Curve 6 months ago from AT&T.

The keys are a little wobbly when I force them to move otherwise they are pretty solid, the keys "click" when I type, and the right side casing is a litttle loose - like pushing on a bubble (for the lack of any other way to describe it). Otherwise I think it's pretty solid.

i want to get some clarification here. for the people who have the verizon curve...are you saying that the keys should NOT be moving at all...or they should only be moving a little bit.

i just recently got the verizon curve (friday) and the keys move a teeny tiny bit. definitely NOT as much as the 8700 tho. i don't have any plastic creaking, but i have key "clicking".

maybe we should call a vote on the curve to see the general consensus on this issue?

They shouldn't be moving at all. My "new" one does not move anymore.

Take your right thumb and place on the letter P button. Don't press the button in but apply enough pressure and move it up and down so to speak. I can see the entire button panel slightly move due to the micro spacing the buttons protrude up through. It is slight, but it moves. I think its just the manufacturing and its normal.
