This has happened multiple times on my phone since I got it. Some of the more recent messages will just become hidden. I cannot find them in any mailbox. If I sent myself a new messages via another phone no sound will go off and the "new message" icon will show briefly and disappear, as will the message in the inbox. In the past I've played with the settings and the messages just randomly seem to decide to work again. I know it's not a memory problem because I've wiped all the messages on my phone before and the tried sending myself a message and this has not worked. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong as the SMS feature will work minutes before this problem, and then seem to randomly occur. This only happens every few months. This morning I couldn't get it to work so I'm wiping my handheld and re-installing everything. I don't even know if that will help. This is very frustrating. I've done a search on Google and these forums and can't seem to find anything relevant as all the answers have to do with memory and I know that's not it. Can anyone help me with this? To be sure please could you go to options > status, take note of your file free number and post it here.

Once memory problems have been ruled in or out we can look at other options to solve the problem maybe.
