Default installing Opera on Curve - 06-04-2008, 06:57 PM

So I am trying to install Opera on my 8320 but no download instructions ever pop up. I go to operamini.com and click download opera then it has me select my phone then tells me to go to mini.opera.com where I have to click download opera again and I keep getting in circles. I had it on here before but removed it to free up memory. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You should be able to scroll to the bottom of the web page after selecting your phone, and select the "high memeory version" I think thats what its called. Click on it and start installing. Good luck.

FYI you could always use your computer to download and install through D.M so you dont have this problem in the future.

Have any of you had any issues downloading opera from your PC? I've tried two different computers. The one I am using now says, "The BB Desktop Software does not have BB Device software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact provider or administrator." However, I have Desktop manager 4.3.0.15 loaded and on the BB I have 4.3.071. Any suggestions?

Are you using the BlackBerry browser or your carier's browser? I had the same thing happen to me when I was using the BlackBerry browser but when I used at&t's MEdiaNet browser, it downloaded.

I can't use the BB browser because I don't have a BB data plan. I have an unlimited data plan, however. I was told I could download opera as a web-browser without a BB data plan. I am trying to download opera on my PC and transfer via USB to my BB. I have Sprint. Do you know if they have a specific browser to use to download?

No clue. But downloading to your PC then moving it to your phone should do the trick.
