I have a blackberry curve 8310 but its locked. the user that had it before me assinged a password for it. It only give me 10 tries to input the password.
How can i unlock it?

You can't.

You can enter the PW wrong 10 times and it will wipe ALL personal data and info from the BB... then you can choose and remember the PW you desire.

But there is not a away around it.

After you have wiped it by entering the PW incorrectly, you can do whatever you want to with it, including moving data to it. Restore from the other's backup.
