Default Reading a spreadheet

I have a curve 8310. I want to store and read a spreadsheet where I have a list of all of my dvd movies so that I don't buy duplicates of movies. Any ideas how to do that?

Wirelessly posted (my new touch button BB)

Create the spreadsheet and email it to your self. You could then read the spreadsheet

Not if it is Excel, unless you have eOffice.

Yes, the native OS on the BB will open to view an Excel spreadsheet--there are better options, like BeamBerry for viewing and eOffice for editing, and Docs2Go (coming), but even now the BB will view an Excel created spreadsheet.

Was thinking about unlocking the phone then installing a new OS but that would prevent me from reading the excel sheet then.

Worked good on my 8800 just fine. I wonder what's up with yours?

It will work just fine. You need to make sure you have the BB Attachment Service installed, and you'll be just fine.

Don't know. Sent myself one from Excel just to try it. Wouldn't open

How/where do you get this service? I don't see it on my Curve. Maybe that is why I can't open attachments people send?

TIA

What version of Excel or Office are you using? I don't think the BB will read the new Office 2007 formats, like docx, xlsx, etc.

Actually, I'm using Office 2003. I can't check if this works yet since my BB is out for repair. I cracked the screen when I dropped it on a ceramic table leg. That was my 4th day of having the BB. I will try this once I get it back from the repair shop.
