If I wipe an 8100, will it remove ringtones as well?

Move your ringtones to your memory card.

That answer is yes. However, you can make a backup before wiping. Moving them to the mem card will save them, as well.

Recycled BB for my wife and didn't want her to lose the ringtones someone else paid for!

You can leave them on the memory card to have more room on the device...

Thanks. She is not going to use for much other than the address book. Had to use my memory card to get her set up. She is not even using data.

I have a feeling once she gets used to the phone, we will be signing her up for the whole thing. Then I will regret getter her started!

If you get her a card go to Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! They always have great prices on sd cards...You can probaly get a 2gb for around 12.00 to 15.00 dollars.

That sounds awesome. I think I will get one for me and give her mine. It is just 512meg and will likely get full soon! I'm just beginning with the 8330 so I am sure I will want a larger card.
