Sounds like you have either installed a lot of applications or are storing media on the BlackBerry and not the media card. You are out of memory!

I am currently on my third 8310... the first one exhibited the "Could not start the camera" problem right out of the box. I exchanged it for a brand new one the next day... and eventually had other weirdness with the camera on 8310 #2 (but that is a whole other story).

Bottom line, it could be an issue with memory or it could be an actual hardware problem. If you cannot solve it by 'closing all other applications', it could be hardware.

yup, true dat...!

For some, that problem can be solved. For those who can't solve it despite all the things that you try. Don't bother.

Just get your unit exchanged for a new one..!

Easy.
