Default New to BB with another question...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I am the proud owner of a new BB 8330 from Verizon..I have been
a long time Treo user so I am trying to figure some things out.

First of all when you download 3rd party software to your BB do you
have the option to put it on the card?? I am just wondering about
conserving memory...

Second I am looking for a nice Today Page..any suggestions
would be great!!

thanks

You can't install apps to your media card, only your device memory.

BBToday and PocketDay are two popular ones (and not many more, that I can think of offhand).

Welcome to BBF. I just got a new 8830 on Verizon, coming from the 8703e. You will love it! I have Pocket Day Pro and it has everything I want on the homepage -- missed calls, unread messages, calendar, weather, stocks, RSS feeds, etc. There are plug ins for lists and sports also. I haven't used BB Today, so I don't know how they compare.

I used both the BB and E Mobile Today screens with weather plug-ins. After a short time abandoned them both in favor of one of the iBerry home screens that I like very well. One of them has a set of 5 icons along the bottom edge that bounce when you run the cursor over them. Messages show up on the screen until read.

Real iBerry Blocks Custom L - Custom L iBerry Theme - 8800/Curve by JC Designs - Gadgetbean.com is the info if you want it, (am I allowed to offer that info in the forums?). I like it and John (of JC?) changed the home page icons to ones I wanted which I really like.
