Default first thread...MP3 running the system in my truck

Please Login to Remove!

I got to use the mp3 on my 8310 in my truck today. I have a couple kicker 10's, kicker components in the door, and running it all with phoenix gold

I have to say i was pretty impressed with the sound quality of the MP3 player on the BB

I also like how it stops the player when you have a phone call, and allows you to take the call

I have a jack coming off my stereo deck, with a 3.5 mm male (headphone jack) that attaches to any MP3 player

I was half assuming that I would be able to hear the phonecall overmy stereo too, but it didnt work that way...i had to hit the speakerphone button. when the phonecall was over tho, it went right back to the music on the stereo, and not the speakerphone

pretty cool, i think

I actually ran a wedding ceremony using my Curve last year. I had a situation where I needed 2 locations running at the same time and I normally control all my music from a laptop. Well with two locations, I didn't want to move the system so I loaded all the music for the ceremony (about 20 tunes including the prelude music) on my Curve and plugged it directly into my PA system for the program. Worked like a charm! Naturally, I disabled the phone ringer beforehand!

That's pretty cool... a unique way to use your Curve.

To be able to hear the call over the sound system in your truck, you'd need the special 3-ring jack cable. Check out the hands-free kit that came with your device, see the jack? 3 rings, the third being the one that enables the phone call via the jack socket and also allows you to use the button on the cable splitter.
Find yourself a jack with the third ring and it should work.
