Can someone explain to me how to transfer applications from one curve to another? I did a backup with my old curve and restored it onto my new curve but the applications did not show up on the new curve. Is there a way I can save those apps then add them to my new curve? Please advise

Here you go:

Or you could have used the Switch Device Wizard in Desktop Manager to transfer one device to the new.
