Default Problems with audio during phone conversations

Please Login to Remove!

OK, please try to stay with me here while I do my best to explain what's going on.

When I make or receive a call, the sound cuts in and out as if someone is flipping an imaginary switch turning everything off and back on again. If I look at the screen while on a call, I can see the volume bar going from 100% to 50% and vice versa as the sound cuts in and out. At the same time, I noticed that I was not able to play music through the speakerphone, but I have recently learned how to enable/disable the speakerphone for audio playback. This had no effect on the audio problem during conversations, though; speakerphone on or not.

I've taken the battery out several times now, each time to no effect. I even took out my microSD card, thinking that might have something to do with it. No luck...

Any of you guys know what might be going on here?

That's very strange - how old is the device and has it always done this during calls or did it start recently?

That's a strange one. Though I have no help to offer, it still reminds me of when my neighbor decided to stand outside my window and change my television channel while I was watching it. Had me fidgeting with cables for a week before I saw his shadow one day! LOL

The device is not old; I've had it maybe a month. The problem I described only began withing the past few days.

However, here's an update: I decided to go to the AT&T store and see what they could possibly do about it. While in the store I decided to give it one more shot before actually speaking with someone. Wouldn't you know that it worked flawlessly... I've tried it several times since and each time it has worked like a charm. I'm baffled at this point.

if you have any further problems, see if there is an AT&T Device Support Center in your area. if there is, have them try to replicate the problem. if they do, they'll swap it out on the spot if you're still under warranty.
