You should go to BlackBerry and read about the features each device in detail.

In quick summary...
8310 = GSM, GPS, No WiFi
8320 = GSM, Wifi, No GPS
8330 = CMDA, GPS, No WiFi

8310 = GSM curve with GPS
8320 = GSM curve with wifi
8330 = CDMA curve with GPS

in all of their current product lineup, the first two digits refer to the generation and series, i.e. 8 = 8th generation (original model 8700), 3 = device family (3 = curve, 1 = pearl, 8 = enterprise/business).

the last two digits are for the receivers installed, i.e. 8300 = GSM only, 8310 = GSM, with GPS receiver, 8320 = GSM, with Wi-Fi, 8330 = CDMA, with GPS

Yes, look at the carrier name that's branded on the bottom/front of the device.
There are currently no carriers that have both the 8320 and 8310.
The carrier name should determine the model.

8300, 8310, 8320.

8330.

Difference is mostly the top part, LED and earpiece.

Also I have noticed that on the top of the curve it either says GPS or WIFI on the 8310's and 8320's respectfully

Yup -- looking at the top is probably the easiest way.

Unless the rubber coating has worn off already

Also, I have T-Mo branded 8320, and it has nothing printed on the top.
My 8310 has the GPS logo.
