you need to have the service books pushed by rogers to your device for the MMS...

i dont know about the AIM issue...

yes BBs do not like MAC at all... duh :P

To get the service books you need the data plan.

A lot of applications are not compatible with wifi yet but Jivetalk is, this is not free but there is a trail version available. You can run all the IM apps through it. Have a look at their website.

There is an application for mac users at Blackberry.com called Pocketmac.

Themes from bplay are usually also available OTA,over the air. You can do this when you have your data plan.

no OTA is not bluetooth, OTA is over the air, meaning it uses the internet to send it to your phone, kinda like downloading something onto your computer from the internet.

The only way you will be able to get email (real push email) is via the data plan... the other way would be to manually log into it when you are on wifi, like go to hotmail.com and log in as you would like if you were on your PC.

With rogers you don't need a data plan specifically...

You can just sign up for their unlimited personal email plan for $15/mo. It's BIS, and it works well enough.

Then you can use the wifi for data when needed.

That's what I do. Waiting for Rogers to add the $15 unlimited BB data to match Telus and Bell.

Im curious about the unlimited personal email, but I run about 5 emails thru my domain email which is native gmail - set to reply from the address the email was sent to - will this be possible on my BB with the personal email ?
