Default slingbox?

Does anyone know when this is supposed to drop for BB?

I am under the impression that all you have to do is buy the box for your cable, plug it in and no monthly fees. Is that correct. Is this finally a company that isnt going to scam us for a service?

Sling for BB is still in closed beta.

Slingbox service is free...just have to buy the box. The software for the bb will likely not be free.

Nothing yet. My guess is they are waiting for OS 4.5 to be released. Just a guess, though.

yeah i kinda figured that, i cant wait for this though, if this product runs smoothly and really only costs a box and a program this will be one of the best apps for bb.

The client isnt ready and only works on WiFi and EvDO Berrys. GSM/UMTS isnt working yet. I think JC is right, the 4.5 for CDMA will bring an open beta for Sling. Last date i heard from them was mid October.

Personally, I'd rather make sure it runs with 3G and Bold - better graphics, better stream speeds - I just put a call into them to ask about that
