Ok, my wife just got a new curve. when I plug in via usb, it tells me theres an update.. theres alot of different things, mostly different languages, and I unchecked them.. is that all i have to do?? or do I need to do something else? like delete the vendor file? thanks in advance

dont have to do anything else. what you do depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

If you're that far, then you don't need to delete the vendor.xml file. You only need to do that if you are trying to install an OS from another carrier (like T-Mobile, for you).

ok..I'm trying to set up her e-mail, and I want to use BIS but the only options in the wizard are BES and skip this step. What's the problem?? thanks

thnkas, i went there and put in the info.. it stopped me and told me i needed to register the device..but I don't see where i can register the device on that site

does it matter if i have the same OS for the 8300 as my 8310?? the 8300 is running 4.2.2.170 platform 2.5.0.30 does this matter? and if so, should i just download the reg software espically for the 8300??

You register by going to Options> Advanced Options> Host Routing Table> Menu Button> Register.

That also may be why you don't have BIS listed as well.
