I read the other thread about the 4 and 8 GB cards and ordered an 8GB. I install it and run the card format utility and my 8320 only recognizes 3.8GB available space. OK, I can live with that, but the 8320 will not recognize the card as the storage device for the camera. In fact, I can't get it to "find" the card. I have done a format, reformatted, and pulled the battery three times to re-do the process just to make sure that I had not left anything out.

Can you help.

The size of card you can have depends on your OS version. 4.3 OS version can take 8GB.

Open your camera, hit menu key then select options then set store pictures to 'on media card'.

Also go to options > advanced options > media card and turn all options to on or yes except for encryption unless you want that.

Unless the settings in the 8320 change with each card, the settings are as you suggest.

I see that I have v4.2. that might be why the 'Berry only recognizes 4 of the 8GB.

I have seen several of the versions available on the site here, but T-Mobile seems to stop at v4.2. Where can I get 4.3?

There's no 4.3 for the 8320. The new OS will be 4.5. Only 4.5's out there are Beta versions.

Have you heard when 4.5 will be available (GA)? I would love to upgrade so I can use a 8 GB MicroSD card.
