The default browser dose not allow me connect through GPRS/EDGE, it always telling me “This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your…..”, when I try on Opera browser I got no problem access internet through GPRS/EDGE connection….any idea why? If I turn on WIFI connection the default browser works o.k. as traffic going….anybody able to help?

Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Browser And change the default to Internet Browser

But some how there are only 2 options.....Monternet & WI-FI Browser...nothing else...why?

Is there something wrong with my BB OS or installation issue? Donxxx8217;t see the option of Internet Browser...

Try opening the browser, then go to Options > Browser Configuration > Emulation Mode. There you can choose Microsoft IE, etc.

Just tried..selected MS IE, pocket IE and etc...also reboot the BB but still the same...don't see the option of Internet Browser...

Yes, I got the data plan...as I mention if I using Opera browser I got no problem to access internet through gprs/edge.

The BB is easy. However, if you assume that it's the same as WM you're going to have difficulty adapting.

If you don't have BES or BIS then that's your problem. You can't get service books without a BB data plan. You certainly can't connect through GPRS/EDGE without a BB data plan.

The BB is going to be especially difficult if you don't have the right data plan for it.

You said earlier you have a data plan -- I'm confused.
If you are just using the Blackberry as a phone without a data plan, you won't have Internet access, email, etc. Is it a personal device or company issued?

If you do have a data plan, and are not on BES, you can set up your BIS on the web, then send your service books.

I mean I don't have BB data plan just a normal gprs data plan, can I still setup my BIS without having BB data plan from the provider? if yes, how? I'm having a BB 8320 from AT&T but currently I'm using in China with China mobile SIM card....thanks!

I'm pretty sure that no BB data plan means no BIS email.
