Default Default Area Code

When I added new addresses for all my local contacts, I didn't put the area code in the phone numbers, and when I place a call, my 8310 askd for the area code because I don't have a default area code. How do I set a default area code for phone numbers in my address book?

Go to options from the call screen Then go to smart dialing and enter the area code desired. This will attempt to put an area code on calls for entries in the address book that are without area codes.

Wow! Do people live in areas without 10 digit dialing?
