Default New Skin

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a new skin for my device, which now means I don't need to carry it in its OEM leather pouch. The problem now is that when I put it in my pocket, keys get pushed. Is there a way to lock the keyboard when I put it in my pocket?

You will need to disable dialing from home screen for that shortcut to work. There may be an 'app' that is hidden or on your applications screen that is named 'keyboard lock'

I'd actually recommend using standby (use the mute key) if you're putting it in your pocket.

It is on the top left corner of the device. Hold it down for roughly 3-5 seconds.

You could always go through your options and put the left or right shoulder key as a lock button. Just make sure you hit it before you put the bb in ur pocket

Mine has an icon that looks like a lock. When pressed, it locks the key board. I thought they all had this icon.

I use the stand by mode. It's much easier and quicker than having to press * then Call to unlock it.

I agree with the standby mode. Because if a key is pressed while in standby it wont turn on the display, therefore conserving power and saving precious battery life.

If you only use the keyboard lock, any key you press(by accident) will light the display.
