How would that work for cellphone purchased at a discounted rate through a contract ? The replacement cost for a out of contract phone would be high, but the original "purchase" price would be low. Will the credit card cover for the entire cost of repairs in the 2nd year ?
call your credit card company and ask them. every credit card provider has different rules. but generally, if your phone is in for repairs in the second year and your credit card company has warranted it, then they will pick up the cost of the repair.
and if it needs to be replaced, you wont be getting a new phone. you'll be getting the lowest possible replacement cost the credit card provider can get... a refurb.
