Default Emailing Videos problem?

Please Login to Remove!

I am having trouble emailing a video from one Blackberry to another.

Both are on Voda's 4.5

It seems to sent it fine but when I try to open the video attachment on the device it was sent to, it does nothing?

Anyone else having problems. I can send it to my desktop and it opens fine.

Yep, nothing. It will open on your PC, not the device.

I wonder if that will change with server upgrades, maintenance taking place.

Ah, so it could be carrier dependent!

That is what I was thinking as a single image goes right thru!

I guess I can't call ATT and give them heck until they support the new OS!

I still thank you, how refreshing to just have something new on my 8310! It will hold me over till the 9000 arrives!

No, I know other carriers' users can't do, either.

I have a Curve 8330 with the 4.3 OS and I can not open video attachments I have to open them on the pc and load them on the phone. I can however send and recieve them through MMS... Sucks and I can only hope that Rim will fix that as its annoying that it will not even open or play native BB video files.....

It should do that. Unless you are trying to open a video attachment in a format the BB doesn't support. Have you tried a battery pull? If your device is under warranty, I'd take it to a Verizon store and have them check it out.

The file is in a the Native 3.GP format and was a video taken from a pearl.. I tried this with a 8830 as well as a 8330 unit and the same result. I can however get video's through MMS.

My 8310 Blackberrys, both of them, have the new 4.5 OS and neither will open a video sent from the other device. It send the video just fine and I can open them perfectly on my computer but not with my Blackberry.

It is disabled by ATT for now till they get the BIS upgrade in place and flip the switch on 3G for Blackberry Data.

I had hoped that it would be native supported in OS4.5 as Verizon has 3G speeds already but then again this is the same company that disables the built in GPS unless you pay 10.00 a month to use their service with the same GPS!
