I just changed from an 8703e to an 8330 and seem to be having a lot more calls dropped or in a couple cases not being able to make a call period. I don't remember this many from my 8703e, is this normal or do I have a bad 8330?

I haven't noticed a significant change in reception with my switch from an 8703e to an 8330 on Verizon, so you may well have gotten a defective device.

this is my first bb always had win mob i shuda switched years ago.. i have noticed much much better reception with the bb8330 than treo 700..

I haven't seen any change from the 8703e to the 8330 -- both have always had great reception.

I have used the 700wx (probably the best reception ever) and the 8703e. My 8330 is better than my 8703e was (by a little bit, not a lot). Fortunately I live and work in an area that has great reception.

I also recently switched from an 8703e to an 8330 on VZW and call reception/quality seem somewhat better.
