Default Caller ID on BB 8320

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I have the BB 8320 and I live in Israel,
I travel quit a lot to Europe, All my phone book has the Israeli country code +972
The issue is when Iím in Israel the operator sends the caller ID without the +972 extension. That means: the number on my mobile is +972-52-777777
And Iím receiving from the provider the number of 052-777777
When I had the Nokia mobile it was checking only 5-6 digits so I had no issues.
Is there a way to program the BB to show the caller ID?
Iv called my mobile provider and they do not have any option to change the way the caller ID shows on their end, they can activate caller ID or deactivate it thatís it.
Please your help.
Regards

Welcome to BB Forums!

Go into the Phone Dialer (press the green button), click the menu button and select Options, then Smart Dialing.

Set the Country code AND the National Number Length properly and see if that works.

Good luck!

it's not the phone, it's the provider. there's nothing you can do from your end as your phone is sending out the full ID, but the operator is truncating it.

Default This is the solution

This malfunction has nothing to do with smart dialing.

If your blackberry is keylock that requires password, your address book will be protected under BB's blackberry content protection security measures. Go to Options, Security Options, General Settings, Content Protection Include Address Book. Change it to "No" and you'll be all set!
